April 2024

With nearly two decades of experience in Human Resources, Jennifer Voss has seen nearly all aspects of people in the workplace. This month, we had the opportunity to catch up with her and discuss her time at TICF and her current role as a Senior People & Culture Business Partner.

EXPERIENCE AT TICF:

Initially, the Toyota name drew Jennifer to TICF. While going through the interview process, she knew there was something special about the team. Three years later, she reflects on what makes TICF special, “it comes down to the size of our company. Previously, I worked for much larger organizations that spanned different sites. With TICF, most of our Associates work in one location, which has really helped us connect and build our culture. There is a focus on what we do every day to intentionally build upon the foundations of who we are and strengthen how we work together.”

LIFE@TICF:

When asked what keeps her at Toyota, Jennifer reflected with “the whole of everything. The package at TICF, from the people to the culture to the hybrid schedule, and our benefits and perks are far above anything I have experienced. It’s truly everything anyone could want in a company.

BUILDING CONNECTIONS:

At TICF, Jennifer’s genuine passion for the people behind the business can be seen in her dedication to building human connections and partnering with our teams to help leaders and associates succeed. “One of my favorite parts about my job is seeing people progress through their careers and being able to help them along their journey. By keeping an eye on the bigger picture of our organization and where we are growing, I can help make sure our Associates are set up to get the right person in the right job at the right time.”

FAVORITE TICF CORE VALUE:

“Be Humble” – This core value resonated with Jennifer the most because of seeing this core value being in action by all associates at TICF, from senior leadership to new hires. She is inspired by a saying: “You’re never too important to be nice to people.” In her view, amidst the hustle and inevitable stress of daily tasks, the accurate measure of our character is how we maintain humility. “Our leadership team, including Mark Taggart and John Crews, demonstrates this value daily, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their role, feels acknowledged and appreciated.” Seeing this value in action has been refreshing for Jennifer, affirming that, at TICF, culture is genuinely lived and breathed, not merely aspirational phrases.

LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK:

As a self-proclaimed ‘Bravoholic,’ one of Jennifer’s biggest guilty pleasures is indulging in the latest episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Alongside her love for reality TV, Jennifer is an avid traveler. She has spent the last five years planning a bucket list vacation to Germany. “My husband and I have wanted to go to Germany since before the pandemic. We’ve had time to build our dream itinerary and research exactly what we want to do and see. I’m excited to visit the Black Forest and as many castles as possible.”
