To kick off the new year, associates at Toyota Industries Commercial Finance (TICF) in Dallas collected 560 jars of peanut butter for the North Texas Food Bank.

The donation of more than three jars per associate is equivalent to 764 pounds of food, providing thousands of meals to children, families and seniors in the North Texas region.

“We started the new year grateful for the time off and humbled by our good fortune, so we wanted to do something that was low-cost, offered value to the community and was fun for us,” said Jack Pellegreen, Retail Credit and Funding Manager. “Our nutty food collection was driven by the fact that peanut butter is the number-one most-requested item at food banks because it’s nutritious, inexpensive and shelf-stable.”

“It’s a humble pleasure to work with such dedicated individuals to help address the far-too-urgent and constant problem of food insecurity,” added Pellegreen.

The drive also was coordinated by members of our Special Occasions Committee (SOC). The SOC team focuses on fostering an inclusive work culture and making TICF a great place to work.
