Hello, my name is Chad Ashimine and I am so excited to be a part of the new TICF intern program as well as the Toyota Family.

I recently graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations this past May.

During this internship, I am hoping to gain corporate experience, to learn more about commercial finance, to network and develop professional skills that help me prepare for the next chapter in my life. Everyone I have met so far has been amazing, friendly and open about themselves. Meeting the leaders of the company, I can tell that they want us to be successful not only within TICF, but in our futures as well. Sharing their different backgrounds, the diversity displayed when hearing the journeys of how everyone got to where they are today has been an eye-opening experience.

One comment that resonated with me was the fact that there are people who have been working at TICF for 25+ years, which shows how great of a company this is and also how respect for people plays a big role in the culture and longevity. I like that Toyota treats its associates as family and creates a foundation based on the term “Kaizen” – the search for continuous improvement and change for the better. This is such a great philosophy to live by because it ensures we are at the top of our game and is the main reason Toyota continues to be recognized as such a dominant brand.

I am beyond honored to have landed an internship here at TICF, and I am ready to take full advantage of the opportunity that I have been given.
